Lutterworth High School is a high attaining and oversubscribed 11-16 Academy school. Our Catering Department is known for providing a varied, high-quality food offer and is an important part of school life. We are proud of the standards we maintain, not only in the food we serve but also in the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of our kitchen.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a hands-on role in a busy and fast-paced kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, service and the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The role also includes cleaning and washing up, with every member of the team contributing to the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness that we pride ourselves on. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is willing to get involved in all aspects of the role and can maintain high standards whilst working at pace.
Previous catering experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
The hours of work are generally worked between 10.00am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. The role is based on 39 working weeks per year. Please note that a school year comprises 38 weeks of term time, with the hours relating to the 39th week disaggregated throughout the year to cover staff meetings and training days, attendance at which is required.
